Magway Region Office

Brief History

Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, Magway Region Office was opened on 20^th March, 2017 at Combined Office in Pyi taw Thar 1^st Street, Pyi Taw Thar Quarter, Magway, Magway Region. The office serves not only the tasks of the department but also secretarial duties of the Magway Region Investment Committee. The office specially emphasizes on being an assisting department for economic development of the country in line with economic and investment policies of the State. The office also performs as an Investment Promotion Agency to promote local and foreign investments in the region and the country as well.

Our Policy

To promote investments in prioritized sectors such as livestock, manufacturing, hotel and tourism, power and energy sector based on agriculture sector for harmonized development of townships in the region and for all-round socio-economic development of the region.

To coordinate MSMEs development tasks as a member of Magway Region MSMEs development agency.

Our Objectives

(1) To promote local and foreign investments

(2) To encourage entrepreneur in private sector

(3) To participate in regional and international economic cooperation

(4) To implement for development of setting up organization and operating  framework

To enhance responsible and accountable local and foreign investments which realize the investment opportunities of the Magway Region

Our Duties

(1) Facilitation of company affairs related businesses in the region

(2) Encouragement for widely usage of MyCO (Myanmar Companies Online)

(3) Sharing investment data to related departments and facilitation of investment

(4) Screening endorsement application forms submitted to Magway Region Investment Committee in accordance with Myanmar investment law and presentation of these applications to the committee meeting

(5) Field inspection to investment projects in order to comply the provisions of Myanmar investment law, operating in Magway Region and to promote investments

(6) Monitoring the effective utilization of borrowed Covid-19 loans to businesses in the region
